MARKET PULSE – Mobile home sales up in June

Don Fenley

June was not a very good month for single-family detached home sales, but the same was not the case for mobile homes.

There were 44 sales, and the median sales price was $195,000.

The overall median price was augmented by four sales, with acreage ranging from 1.5 acres to 23.9 acres.

Buyers got an average $14,833 reduction during negotiations on 61% of June’s sales. After the price reductions, the median listing price was $190,000.

Sellers also discounted their original listing price by an average of $15,355 on 14 of the mobile homes that sold last month.

Twenty-one of last month’s sales were cash deals and the average price was $194,540.

Most of the sales (14) were in Greene Co., followed by Hawkins with 11 sales.

Sales in the other counties included:

  • Sullivan – 6
  • Washington – 6
  • Carter – 4
  • Unicoi – 2
  • Johnson – 1
